Wastegate Rattle On The R?

I've had my TSI 2.0 GT for over two years now and have always suffered from the well documented turbo wastegate rattle which occurs while accelerating between 2000-3000 RPM, which VW have always refused to fix.

Quick question: is anyone aware of the R suffering from this same problem ???

I was under the impression that the R has a different turbo? or am I wrong?

we have the K04 unit yes. There is no rattle on my car.

Only lots of sucky sucky Darth Vadar noises from the Forge Twintake and the boombastic sound track from the Milltek.

Anyone else heard any reports of the dreaded wastegate rattle on the R ??

I'm guessing by the lack of replies that nobody has?

At least that's what I'm hoping.

I have never heard of an issue like this with the R or for that matter on the Edition 30 (which uses the same engine)

all i get is a bit of induction noise and the raspy zorst noise its all good
