Scirocco Help

Post by freaknice »

Hello people, am new here, am contemplating purchasing a Scirocco, just weighing up my options... I've seen a couple of ebay and salvages which i don't mind going for, i've seen one here, http://www.copart.co.uk/c2/homeSearch.h ... CH_RESULTS#" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; but it doesnt give me the fuel type, i wanna bid for it but if it is a petrol i heard the fuel consumption is much more than with a diesel.

Could any one shed some light on whether how you can tell if its a diesel or petrol?

Much Appreciated..

Looks like a petrol to me from the picture of the engine bay. Also it looks like the standard chrome exhaust tips. It's a shame you can't see the rev counter as the redline will only be around 4-5k compared to 6-7k ish on a petrol. You could just ring them though
IF IT'S NOT BROKEN
I'VE NOT TOUCHED IT YET !!

Standard chrome exhaust tips eludes to it being a petrol? I'll give them a ring in the morning, thank you
