Throttle / Pedal issue?

On circuit today, so car was being driven harder than normal road use. Went to apply some power, and accelerator pedal wouldnt move. Pushed harder, but nothing. Luckily nothing around me and could pull in, it free'd back up on the way, but felt really sluggish. Stopped car in neutral, left it to tick over then tested it and seemed fine, didnt cause me any more problems.

Going to get VW to check that out and few little things. But just wondered whether anyone else has had this, how this can happen, and how does that part of the car work (electronic isnt it?)?

P.S. This car is great on track, and Mintex 1144 pads are essential, no comparison really.

Did you initiate some kind of limp mode after putting it through its paces on the track?

Did you get anything pop up on the DIS, or any warning lights? I am sure as Maisbitt said this sounds like the car has gone into limp mode.

Hello,

Had nothing pop up at all, no warning lights or anything. The weirdest thing was the pedal being solid as a brick.

Car was all warmed up, was about 5th session of day, no previous issues. Not first time on track either.

If it goes into limp mode, would it chuck up a fault code and store it (i.e. so going to dealers at weekend it wont have wiped it off memory)?

Still no problems. But booked in for next Thursday to run checks on it.
