Wheels for a rising blue R ?

Post by mattyw »

Hi all I'm not 100% on the standard wheels do you think the bbs ch black editions would suit rising blue ?
Or maybe a set of bbs ch in a grey colour,I did wonder wether the standard wheels would look better in a grey but don't really want to mess with the original wheels, what's everyones thoughts ?

I tried some CH on mine but it didnt look right, the Black edition might be OK but there is something about the shape of the Rocco that doesnt seem to look right with the BBS Ch style !?, might just be me, Do you have 18 or 19" R wheels ?

They're currently sat in their boxes waiting to go on, so no pics just yet unfortunately. However, i did take one out to the car and it looked immense, although mines white so you'd have to make your own judgement about the blue but i think it'd look great. Won't be standard ride height, will either do springs or coilovers, yet to be decided...

Think CH's will need spacers though because the offset on the is 50 , where as the stock wheels are 41 and even they could do with some spacers to make the stance look right imo.

Having just recently had H&Rs fitted chungster are you noticing much difference in the ride quality is it much harsher. I'm also concerned about sleeping policemen.

Done less than 100 miles since fitting so can't really comment but early indications are good and ride is fine. Got the ACC on comfort anyway. It'll be thoroughly tested in wales tho

Think sleeping policemen will be ok it's not that big a drop.

Iv got the exact same dilemna, want to lower it, but don't know if Springs will be enough for what i want. Loosing ACC doesn't bother me too much in principle, but obv you dont quite know what the ride will be like on coilovers until its done....

Keep me posted on what you decide! :)

Hopefully seeing two rocs side by side should help me make up my mind about lowering and any other mods.

I know if I just put springs on I'll end up wanting coilovers as I did the same thing with ed30,but there's quite a price difference between the two

having spoken to KW about V3s the only difference is the springs, hence if you went V3 on the 2.0tsi you could change the springs if you went R

I'm sure black talledegas would look great on a rising blue but I don't think they are a option for the roc.
