Scirocco needs an update

Ive owned my GT now for nearly 2 years and still love it but it needs a bit of a face lift and some new features.

I guess 182blue might have inspired this.

I'd like to change the RCD510 for the RNS510.

Install the rear view camera if the RNS has the correct input

And change my bury phone kit for the VW bluetooth one that works through the touchscreen.

It basically all revolves around the new head unit as the car still looks and drives great.

Any advice would be much appreciated on suitability, compatibilty and somewhere that the RNS could be bought for less than the £2000 that the dealer wants.

Thanks for the replies. I already have cruise but all I really wanted was to uodate to an RNS.

I had a look at that OEM website. One question though they state that the units are 2nds. This seems to be the same for any sold on ebay. Where are all these 2nd hand or refurbished units coming from that they can sell them for a fraction of new prices?

Not sure where they come from but i believe many on here and the other forum have had them fitted free on their meet the dealer days around the M25 and have vouched for them. I think they sort out any coding required at the same time.

I'm happy to fit it myself as I have vcds. Can anyone suggest a suitable seller? 182_blue had said there was someone on the mk5 forum selling them.
