TPS (trade parts services)
Does anyone know if they will serve the general public. Just contacted the Manchester branch (really nice chap) but he said without a membership number he couldn't help me, and membership is only available to the trade?
I'm after quite a few bits before the new Rocco arrives and wanted to see if I could save some money by buying from them in advance?

Gotta love TPS. Box of 100 latex gloves for £3.60, and 3 bottles of VW screenwash at £2.88 each. Might get some more actually.

TPS will or should serve anyone who walks through the door.
You will get a 10% discount. However if your in the trade you`ll get better discounts.

Re: TPS (trade parts services)
When I called them to ask if they had any screenwash in stock, they said yes and when I said how much will it be, he asked "What company do you work for". I said they're for me and he said I'd have to go to the garage in that case and that was that. So my local TPS doesn't server "anyone"
Re: TPS (trade parts services)
No, they are perfectly within their rights to be trade only and refuse a public customer.a4gee wrote:TPS will or should serve anyone who walks through the door.
Most however have a cash acocunt they can put public orders through.
Re: TPS (trade parts services)
10% on the retail price? I got that on my last couple of orders picked up from retail parts in the showroom. And I've not even spent that much with them.a4gee wrote:TPS will or should serve anyone who walks through the door.

Re: TPS (trade parts services)
Agree with ayeaye.
I got the price from 2 dealers for about £270 worth of spare parts for the new Rocco, and managed to get some discount off both. Actually then emailed my local(ish) TPS in Manchester, and they then agreed to supply me and gave me a price. Surpise, it was (almost to the penny) what my local dealer offered me, without the 20 mile car journey - no better.

But if your in the trade you`ll get a good discount. They also supply the dealers so they have targets to get also.

They don't actually supply proper VW dealers just independents from what they have told me.
