Model confusion

Post by reefman »

I've bought a 2010 2.00 DTI GT from a local main dealer - strangely when I was searching their was confusion from their website as to whether it was a dsg or not - though it is definately a manual

Shopping around for insurance and using the reg number some car searches bring it up as a 140 and some as a dsg one of the sales reps says their car search is based on DVLA info but how could this be - I've been back to the dealer who having checked reg doc states its shown as a 170 though with SA after the model does this mean semi automatic - I'm sure from driving it it is the 170 but how can this be confirmed - engine no?

My worry is that when I come to sell this apparent confusion may cause me hassle

cheers guys

What does the sticker say on the inside of the door ?, also look at the sticker in the boot (under the carpet), also in the logbook at the front is a sticker, no3 shows the engine type in KW, engine type and code along with gearbox code
