After a recent encounter with a large pot hole i suffered a a bent alloy. This has been repaired and is now round again at the same time i had 2 new BF Goodrich tyres fitted and had the tracking looked at. It took nearly 2 hours for them to sort the tracking is there anything that could cause it to take this long. When VW inspected the original damage the only thing said i needed was a new alloy and a new tyre and 4 wheel alignment at a cost of £780. I'm currently claiming against Kirklees council for the money, but sorted out the damage on my own until they make a decision either in my favour or not.
I may be just paranoid about the tracking but drive alot of miles each week and can't afford to scrub tyres to death.
