Christmas Dilemma!

Post by raffoul232 »

Well im planing on treating myself for christmas to a nice front bumper and rims (maybe a wing as well), but theres an issue. My original plan was to go for an abt front and caractere rims but since i have no clue how to photo shop i have no idea how caractere rims might look like on a car with a full abt kit. Now, the only kits being offered in my country are caractere and abt. I already have the abt side skirts and rear bumper with exhaust system but still have no clue what to put on the front or rims. Now i went to both dealers and the caractere rims (2000$) are much cheaper than the abt ones (3500$), yet front bumper wise the caractere (1000$) seems too expensive for what they are giving me compared to abt (which is also 1000$). I hope you guys can just take a bit of time and help me out with this dilemma ............. Thanks (pic shows what rims im talking about with the fron bumper as well as a picture of my car) Again appreciate the help

Sorry but i'd have to be voting for none of the above!

The vw skirt kit is nicer and pretty much any other wheels!

Went today to abt dealer got a price tag of 1000$ for front bumper as well as the carbon fibre insert (price includes paint and instalation as well as 20% off) now the sad part is 3200$ for rims without tiers. With tiers we are talking around 4200$, now that's freaking expensive. Anyway if anyone has any other ideas for rims that can go with my car I'm open to any ideas. Ryy I thought of painting the front bumper gloss black with white paint around the honey cone grill (like candy monsters ride) but I got scared that the dealer won't paint it properly. Tommorow I will be going to the caractere dealer and I'll see how it goes, I'll keep you all posted. And again thanks for the feedback, and please don't hesitate on giving me other ideas for rims......cheers

Personally I like ABT's BR wheels (I have them), but for the price they charge, I dare say you could get loads of different quality wheels!!! - It's all your own preference. Have you looked at another kitters front end? Reiger etc? It'd be a bit of a mash up of parts on your car, but it would certainly look unique.

Also, do you have any more pics of your car as it is now? Especially from the perspective of the front / side (so you can see both at once)

Well here in my country ryy the only 2 tuning companies for vw/audi are caractere and abt all other kits have to be purchased online then have to be shipped here and then you have to pay a s**t load on taxes.
BTW went today to caractere got a price tag of 1900$ for rims and 1200$ for continental tyres, and for the front bumper a wacky 1200$ :faint: So i decided to go for the abt front, which is not causting me as much as the caractere one, and i get to pick the carbon fibre plate insert or abt wing for free. Now for the rims still find both abt and caractere a bit expensive so im still snooping around for some rims. BTW ryy can i see a picture of your car with those abt rims on it thanks
