Post by The Don »

What am I missing out on? I may have a chance of a car that is already with a dealer. Brand new, and here already.

So what are the new additions Im missing? Bluemotion? Anything else?

I would think carefully about buying a showroom car, as it depends on what is a definite must have and what is not.

It was an option that I nearly went for with one dealer, but I couldnt justify going for a 140 TDI in Candy White without leather, when I really wanted a 170TDI in RB with leather. Basically, all the things I wanted, the car didnt have, and as tempting as it was to have a Roc the following week, I passesd on it and did the 6 month wait for delivery instead. Besides which, the cheapskate dealer wasnt willing to do any deal at all, even though I had just been for a test drive in it - and I am sure I wasnt first to either. He wanted the RRP for it! Told him to forget it, and ordered one elsewhere.
I can rely on my car, it's my Roc!!!

Mine was a showroom car in white, GT pack, with black leather, folding mirrors, parking sensors and a pano roof. Had I been doing the spec myself I might have had the bigger wheels, and would probably have had DynAudio instead of the roof, but decided that that was a very small sacrifice to make given that I could pick it up immediatley...oh, and I might have had truffle leather. All in all I'm glad that I did what I did. Not quite so glad that some ******** drove into it last week and dented the offside rear arch, took a chip out of the alloy and then just drove off. And was probably one of my neighbours. :(

If it has what you want go for it and make sure they give you a full tank of gas. Always ask that one just before you sign and don't take no for an answer.

Mine was a spare demo which hadn't been driven. Still had the various bits left on it from transit. It had everything I wanted and Bi-xenon's which I didn't really want but glad now that it has them.

Oh, they also forgot to charge me for the leather seats so I stopped complaining about the full charge for the winter pack when I realised. :D (Winter pack with leather seats is ~£100 cheaper from memory).

Hoping this one turns up with a few extra bits and bobs on it. THe one I was after didn't have agreat deal on it anyway, so it's been pretty easy to pick up I guess. All I really wanted was Leather..
