Was just looking at the Swiss site (wishing we could have Nappa Leather in the UK, strange it isn't available in Germany either) and noticed a Scirocco Team Model (also in Blue Motion) anyone know what this is?
Curiosity has the better of me...just seen it on the German Site also

Its not been unusual for the Swiss market to have special configurations, Mk2 Scirocco had specific market model builds in the 1980's & early 1990's. I know of nine specials in that era for the world wide markets. Some were produced in thousands, others just 127 such as the Scirocco Mk2 Slegato, produced for Canada.
In the UK, Scala, Storm, GTS were three Mk2's. The background was generally as special price to counter what VW UK thought was market threat.ie. GTS in 1985 & 1986 in batches of 1000 & 750 respectively. The background sales blurb was that it was produced specially for the UK to counter the Opel Manta at the time. Exceptionally good value as it was £1,670 cheaper than the GTX (top of the range at £8865) at the time and only the MFA computer, sunroof and injection engine were missing.
They will appear in the Mk3 when sales start dipping, and almost certainly at the end of the production run in 2013 as the Mk4 comes on line.
To find out what "Team" is, use the "Konfigurator" on VW.de and its all there. I presume you went into it to that depth while on the German VW.de website?
ie. "Team" is a German marketing model like Exclusive, R, Sport.
Team will come with standard features which are optioal extras on the Scirocco base models like UK Scirocco & Scirocco GT model differences. The Scirocco "Team" brochure is here if you didn't find it.
