0-60 time

Post by Sanders83 »

Hi all,

Just been out for a quick spin with a timing device on the car and with a tank brimming with diesel and a slight uphill gradient it ran 7.4 to 60.

As many have said, I think VW are conservative with their figures sometimes. Very impressed though. Brilliant car in every way.

Considering my 1.9TDI MkV Golf DSG takes about 12-14 seconds to go 0-60 this excites me a lot!!

Really? Thought the MkV's were pretty quick. Well you'll definately love the Roc then. Cracking car.

The MkV has great torque and speeds from 35 through 80. But to 35 is very sluggish. I believe the 1.9 was only 105bhp

Nope no build week yet - Ive purposely not bothered enquiring about it.

I was given an estimated delivery of October and figured it would be more exciting to randomly get a call sometime between Mid September and Mid October saying "your car is here".

Which is OK as long as you have definite confirmation that your order has reached the VW factory. If had had just sat back and waited, I would never have got the call, and if I hadn't exerted pressure once the car was at the dealer (different one to the one that didn't put the order through) I would have waited another week for them to get to the PDI - previous experiences of a Vauxhall dealer and a MINI dealer suggested their idea of a PDI was to start it within minutes of the car being offloaded from the transporter, on both occasions, I was driving the car away within 4 hours of delivery - VW's idea was to keep it sitting around for a week before getting round to it - they did it the next day when I requested some urgency be applied.
