I'm just about to hit the green button on a new R that's currently unallocated. The spec is not exactly what I was after, but given the current delays I think I'll compromise a little.
I just wanted to be sure of a few things:
1. Once Richter or similar have sourced and installed an RNS510 it will be indistinguishable from OEM (except the GPS antenna will be in the dash, rather than on the roof)?
2. The MDI will be usable as intended?
3. The multi-function steering wheel will behave exactly as standard?
4. A Fiscon or VW (depending on build week - I'm a non-rSAP user) bluetooth will similarly behave entirely as if fitted from new?
5. One day there may be a cruise control retro-fit available for a new Scirocco, but not currently?
6. There isn't an economically sensible folding mirror retro-fit available?
The questions may seem a little pedantic, but I just want to be sure I'm not compromising too much - I will be handing over £30k and I don't want to find I can't bring the car up to the spec I regard as essential.
The spec of the car offered is Blue, DSG. The spec I wanted was Blue, DSG, SatNat/DynAudio, Bluetooth, Cruise, (Parking Sensors?)
Thanks for any help,
Rob.

Re: Sanity check, please
1. RNS will be just the same except the Aeriel you mention
2. Midi will be fine (as long as they connect it etc)
3. MFSW will be ok , again as long as programmed ok
4. Bluetooth is fine as above
5. cruise will be OK when kit released
6 im not sure on the mirrors, everything can be fitted and work ok, but it depends on sourcing parts cheap enough
How much are Richter charging you for the bits ?

Wow, thanks for the rapid reply! All-in RNS+Fiscon fitted quoted as 2 grand inc VAT. Which is a lot of money. As a chronic eBay-o-phobe I don't think there's any way around that particular cost though.
