Best wax for Rising blue?
Hi all,
Looking through all the waxes trying to decide which one to go for first. Thinking of Victoria Concours Red or Nattys Blue. These waxes say they are best on dark colours but is the blue classed as a darker colour or a lighter colours?
Cheers all,

it would probably regarded as a dark colour Sanders however most waxes can happily be used on any colour

Re: Best wax for Rising blue?
Cheers Trix, missed that thread. Just put two coats of my old Tech Wax on the rental Megane to use it up. Poor thing has really been treated badly so thought it'd do it good. That's blue too but a bit lighter than the new Roc will be.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Wow!! That's amazing!
Re: Best wax for Rising blue?
X2! that is an amazing shine on that RB!
I'm using Lusso Oro Wax on mine at the mo. Find it very nice actually, but maybe doesn't give that deep a shine as some other waxes like the Valentines (just checked the price of that stuff and its serious moolah so out of my price range!)
Still i love the smell of the Oro when applying it.

I just ordered a Japanese Carnuba wax Ion Coat Navi wax dark. Its supposed to be superb and very easy to use. Will be using it on my RB soon!

Have you tried pre-waxing the car with Lusso Revitalising Creme before applying two or three thin layers of Oro? This will help to really add depth to the paintwork and enhance the overall shine.
We've been blown away by Lusso to be honest because out of all the many, many waxes we've tried and tested, we haven't found any that come close to Lusso in terms of gloss levels (not to mention value for money and ease of use).
I have to agree with you on the smell - coconuts is one of my favourite smells so I love using the Auto Bathe and the Oro! In fact, it's all I can do just to resist the temptation of using the Auto Bathe as bubble bath and the Oro as a moisturiser! (Taryn, not Jim!)
All the best
Taryn and Jim

I've got the revitalising creme but not used it yet! Will do so next time and see what effect it has!

Re: Best wax for Rising blue?
I have just tried some Gtechniq on the bonnet, P1 polish with a rotary and finishing pad then neat C2. Very impressive leaves a very silky finish. Durability is 6/8 months. I will take some pics tomorrow in the sun as it has been dull here this afternoon.
