Hi all, just wondering what you clean your dashboard with, any good products out there, i want a nice matt finish not glossy.
also after cleaning the speedo dials today i have very faint scratches on there look like caused by cleaning, any ideas how to get these out, and what best to clean the speedo pod with please???
For the dash, I would recommend Poorboy's Natural look, leaves a lovely finish and smells great.
As for the instrument cluster, i'd be very careful trying to remove those scratches as you wouldn't want to dull and lose clarity in the plastic. I've got some slight scratches on mine that are only visible at night and am tempted to have a crack at sorting them with Clearkote Vanilla Glaze as it's my product of choice for polishing glossy exterior plastics and head/tail light lenses.
Options: Gone but never forgotten; Sumatra, Cruise, Parking Sensors, Flat Tyre Indicator, boot liner, hatchbag, premium sills, SciroccoCentral stickers & hedgehog! Ordered 23rd June 09 Build week 41 Handover 17th Oct 09 Off to his new home July 2016 after nearly 7 years & 88800 miles.
I recall seeing the dash cluster problem somewhere previously but can't seem to find it at the mo: a quick google for suggestions brought up..
meguiars plastix
novus plastic polish
general mild polish
3M swirl mark remover
plexus glass cleaner
sadly they seem to be prone to it
in future only soft cloths (maybe glass specific?) or brushes on the dash cluster, absolutely nothing abrasive
obviously anything you do try it worth trying in an inconspicuous place first

If you read the notice over there, ED's first posting greeting people back states some late topics and postings were lost. Most likely got wrapped up in that.
Your welcome to post them here.

It's already been mentioned, but Poorboys Natural Look Dressing gets our vote... it's easy to use, smells great and doesn't leave a greasy or glossy finish. http://www.autoperfection.com/shop/Poor ... -16oz.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
With regards to the speedo dials - we just echo what's already been said really... make sure you use something that's ultra soft - perhaps stay clear of the brushes because even the softest ones can sometimes cause marks on the dials. Detailing brushes are excellent for cleaning the dash and things like air vents and fiddly bits, but we would probably just stick to a super soft microfibre cloth on the displays.
