Wheel clamp problems.

Post by roccosiffredi »

No i haven't been clamped :D

I have bought a wheelclamp from bulldog and it doesn't fit. They said it would after asking for my tyre dimensions. What they failed to mention was the clearance needed between the wheelarch and tyre! So i'm returning it.

Does anybody have an inkling of where i can find a wheelclamp that will actually fit (and don't say inside the london congestion zone!).

Cheers.

I'm surprised at that.

I may have more clearance on mine with 17" but to ask a silly Q, did you put it on by the correct method?
ie. Presented it to the wheel in a collapsed flattish state, with 2 arms part one side and 1 arm part the other side. Then pull up the centre arm round the circumfence of the wheel to the top. Followed by the the other two arms either side part way up and tighten the centre clamping.

Or is your Scirocco lowered somewhat?

Why dont you try one of them steering wheel braces?? As anybody that even nicks your car will have to cause large amout of damage to it trying to remove the brace.
