PROBLEM WITH MY 2010 (140) TDI

guy, last niight i parked my car, it was running fine.

when i came back to it few hours later started the engine, the car stationary had the needle below 1000 rpm

when i accelerated in neutral it only went up to 2000rpm

when i drove it was the same could not even get past 20 mph?????

i managed to get it home but what do i do???
y has this happened to me brand new gt tdi

please any info asap would help. i am gonna ring vw now and explain to them to problem.

Thats an odd one. I know when the cars stationary there is a lower rev limit in place which is turned off if the traction control is off. But not being able to get past 20???? you've lost me on that one..

exactly rang vw they sending out a tech to see car. Evrything works just no power in car at all. Iv only done 600miles.

it sounds like a sort of limp mode which is very worrying but not the foggiest what could have caused it.

tech dude came out said my acceleratr pedal, a plunger snapped?? God knows how or what it is. But until thursday they cant fix it. Getting me a courtesy car but i hav had it 2weeks. Do i just sit back and do nothing or do i complain after two wks its gone wrong?
I dont know what to do. I do think its outrageous. Any advis on what to do?

You could try squeezing some extras out of the dealers like sill plates or metal pedals.
