Pulled by the rozzers!

Post by rocccosiffredi »

I got pulled over by the good constabulary of west yorkshire last night!

I had taken my lovely lady for a few beverages at my not so local local. 2 miles down the road on came the blue lights! ( i was tanking it a bit but i'm sure i was just about within the national speed limit)

"is this your car sir?" Erm well sort of...it's a lease car! "is it really!?"

Everything was ok on the PNC check (i had visions of the car been seized! :eyepop: ).

They breathalysed me which of course was totally negative as i never drink and drive.

First time i've been acosted by the fuzz since i was a student in my banger fiesta ( i got pulled a lot).

Cops were very impressed with the car needless to say.......one of em even said he'd love to have one.

Moral of the story. . . . . .there isn't one! Just thought i'd tell ya. :)

always answer yes, don't try & make them understand intricacies they would rather sieze it (& have a test drive on the way back) than understand

I've not been pulled over yet but I've been followed a few times. Alarm bells probably start ringing when they see a younger driver at the wheel. I'm not complaining though as they're only doing their job.

I was followed this morning for a mile or two but then he passed me once we got on the a47 (& i'd stuck my cruise on to make sure i didn't race off like i occassionally do on that stretch) with a reasonable grin of appreciation.

(then had an ar*e of an M3 driver decide that giveway doesn't apply to him & refuse to let me filter it :rage: )

i didn't, the choice was;
a) carry on & most likely end up driving into oncoming traffic if he didn't move
b) him plough into the side of me, (impact would have been approx passenger door area) not ready for that in my beloved car
c) stop & give him some horn & finger (yes i'm ladylike)

i went for c to which he thought it was big & clever to stand on his breaks thinking i'd drive into the back of him :? he works further up the same industrial estate as me & if i ever see him again hes getting an earful.

I got followed for a few miles in my viper on the a13 in Essex, then the blues and two's went on to pull me over! The reason they pulled me was because I was not 2 chevrons apart from the vehicle in front on this particular stretch of road. The officer then proceeded to lecture me how I was a dangerous driver, but was going to let me off with a warning and not prosecute me for dangerous driving. Countless times I've been down that stretch of road and NOBODY keeps 2 chevrons apart!! When I said to the officer that the sign on the carriageway was green and therefore only advisory and not an instruction, he didn't seem too pleased! I am convinced they only pulled me because of the car.

Got pulled last night for erratic driving and weaving all over my lane - I was dodging all the potholes on the main road 1/2 a mile from my house. Theres some really nasty ones opened up (one is 10" deep!) in the bad weather we had. I suggested that the Bobby complain to the council about the safety impact of the potholes. He was tempted to breathalyse me, but let me go, as he is fully aware of the state of that road.

Time to trade in the Roc for a Landrover Defender, and stop paying my council tax!

Did the Bobby then smash your rear clusters with his truncheon, then give you a big fine for having broken lighting?

Brilliant! Those damn chevrons are a pain the rear. All they seem to cause are traffic jams.

The state of the road the moment is crazy. I think when it comes time for a new set of tyres I'm going to send the bill to the council!
