Seeing as its so darn useful, please could someone who knows their com number & has their copy of their order form to hand have a look & see if the red number in the top right corner of the order form is the same as their com number?

Mine isn't.
The dealer's form is their own order form number usually. The Commission Number is the VW system order number. So I doubt they would line up.

if you don't have very good/any communication links with your dealer you can ring VW customer services & find out the status of your car from there.
