Anyone else see it in the 'coming up' section
Can't wait to see what they think. I know the magazine raved and it's subzero on the cool wall but there's nothing like a proper TG review.

but hasn't it been Perry Mccarthy as well? there has to be more than 1 cz of the ever changing body shape (tall stig, short stig, fat stig, thin stig)

perry was the original black stig but had a few stand ins when he was racing in his autobiography, ben collins is white stig most of the time, sure their are a few stand ins aswell, have a feeling it may have been schumacher in the ferrari last night as its his car

The 'black' Stig was Perry McCarthy but he revealed himself in his autobiography so they killed him off! I reckon there have been various Stigs too but Ben Collins always seem to get mentioned.........

At the end of every series they do their car awards, and as the Scirocco was the magazines car of the year I wouldn't be surprised if the big explosions behind it are the point the TV show announce their car of the year.

I checked the TV listings on sky for next weeks show (2nd August 2009) and James May and Jeremy Clarkson attempt to make a classic Volkswagen advert.
So it looks as if the wait is nearly over to see their humorous take on the Scirocco..
Unfortunately I will be travelling next Sunday so will not be able to see it when it is shown.
Thank God for Sky+

thought it was a pretty good review, very positive
although they should never be allowed to do VW adverts ever.

Pretty positive apart from they slagged off the diesel all the way through, definitely going to get stick now. In fairness the 140 isn't going to set the world alight, not until the remap anyway

I thought it was fair enough, I got the impression that they like the car (space, finish, style etc.) it was just the engine that was the problem.
The 2.0 TSI without a remap is nothing to write home about so the oil burner must be as slow as a week in Jail.
