Yellow Flashing engine light followed by EPC Light

I was driving my 1.4tsi 160bhp Scirocco home last night and after putting some beans in it I was met with a flashing engine light and an EPC light. I began to slow down and the engine light came of however the ECP light stayed on. I then pulled over and felt the car jittering a little. I then turned the engine off and after a trying to research the issue I started it back up to all the lights being off and the car running perfectly again. Should I be concerned about the issue and does anybody know what it might be?
The car has recently had the timing chain done and only has 65k miles on it with and extensive service history.
I was planning to take it to a VW specialist garage but in case it’s not an issue I wanted to make this post just to be sure.

To be honest everything happens for a reason.
Have you scanned for any codes? Tht would be my first port of call.

Would give the same advice.
Have the car scanned for codes. What were the symptoms when it happened to yours?
