Engine Cut Out When Accelerating

Post by NFall »

Hi Guys,

I hope someone can help with this as it is driving me insane!!

I bought a 2010 2.0 Sirocco diesel back in October. After driving the car for 2 weeks without a single problem, I had a week off work so the car didn't move. When I went to start the car up it would cut out straight the way and come up on the dash saying 'Engine Fault, Workshop'. I managed to get the car to start and run using Jump leads however, when I pressed the accelerator it would hit just over 1k revs and the car would jolt like crazy and then cut out again with the little yellow coil flashing and again the dash would come up with 'Engine Fault, Workshop'.

After this happening we tried the next day and the car started up fine (nothing on the dash), would drive fine until again I hit just over 1k on the rev clock it would cut out.

I took it to a garage that specialize in VW's and they came back with 'Diagnostic's found fault with NO1 Injector'. So yesterday we changed the injector to a brand new one, now the car seems to be driving fine until I have to put my foot down a bit more on a hill, it then again, jolts like crazy then will cut out..

I am completely baffled as it seems to just make it's own mind up when it want's to do it..

If anyone has any idea what this could possibly be, it would be a huge help!

Thank you!!

Make a new fault scan and see what it says.
