So.. around a month ago i bought a Scirocco. Everything's great apart from the car going in to limp mode whenever i exceed 80ish mph. I understand the previous owner got the dpf removed, but instead of deleting it off of the ecu, they cut the wires going to the sensors?? Stupid I know, and i'm sure no-ones had this issue but it's worth a try! What's the best course of action for me to take? Is simply re-wiring the wires easier said than done, and does anyone know how much i'd be looking at to fully resolve this?
Advice would be very much appreciated.

Re: Advice on limp mode
Assuming the reason it goes into limp mode as being the DPF removal / sensors disconnected then the easiest solution would be to have the engine remapped to code out the sensors and take advantage of the DPF removal.
Personally, I would have the car scanned to confirm the exact cause as to why the car goes into limp mode.
Also, if you are in the UK and it's obvious the DPF has been removed, you may have difficulty getting the car through an MOT.
If a remap will resolve your issue, then you are looking at £300 - £500 for a map from a reputable diesel tuner.
