Check the connections at the throttle pedal assembly and the throttle body. Do you have an EPC light warning light on?

Another thought has sprung to mind. As you've just replaced the batter, you maybe haven't given the throttle body a chance to synchronise.

I do have an issue with the stop start system, apparently i need to code the battery to the car ,i dont think the 2 are related though as the stop start is disconnected ,i get an error when i connect it back up

If you follow the air intake path, you'll find it. If you switch the ignition on and have someone operate the throttle pedal you should hear the servo motor operating.

I'm not sure, it could be that the start / stop is disabled because you have an EPC issue. A lot of the systems are interlocked.

I disabled the stop start ages ago as i didnt like it much ,decided to reconnect whillst the battery was out ,and try it again to see if fuel consumption was much different
first time it activated at some traffic lights ,it threw an error and said start car manually then the red battery light on the dash stayed on ,so i disconnected it again

Thanks for the replies
