New battery

Post by blz-8027 »

Hi all
Fitted a new battery ,and i am having issues with the stop start ,

Guy at work said he had to code his new battery to the car with VCDS (an Audi)
is it the same on the scirocco ?

I think the start stop batteries are different to traditional one.

And expensive too

I may be wrong but I believe cars with start/stop require AGM batteries and that they are coded to the car.

If I'm wrong, the start/stop not working could be down to the new battery not being fully charged or even down to the current low ambient temperatures as there are many parameters taken into account before the system is enabled.

A quick read of the fault codes should point younin the right direction.
