2010 170 tdi headlight / drl /foglight issues

2010 170 tdi headlight / drl /foglight issues
My dipped and side lights are on and tail lights work (drl) but nothing els does i have no fogs f/r no main beam and dash lights are illuminated all the time . Drl stay on no matter what position the light swith is in . Ive tried a new switch with no change ive tried to turn drls off or change coding with my carly vag nothing is working . Ive checked all fuses and tried factory reset and disconnected the battery for a while with no change . Any ideas ?????

Looks like a faulty lightswitch is at the heart of your issues. Easy enough to change.
Looks as though you also have a faulty level sensor on the Nearside Front, although I would have expected that to cause the DCC button to flash with an error.

Yes it does seem to be the issue although i did buy a new lightswitch and it was still the same but it was a non genuine item maybe i should try a genuine one .

Maybe worth checking the connections to the lightswitch on the off-chance a terminal has been damaged, although to be honest that's unlikely if you had the issue before the switch was disturbed. If you're competent with a multimeter, try to get hold of a wiring diagram and check connections to and from the switch.
