Bluetooth module

Hi, all I’ve seen my car has the black box fitted behind/under the stereo which I believe to be the Bluetooth module, but when I search Bluetooth on my phone nothing comes up?

Any ideas how to pair it?

The OEM Bluetooth module is located below the driver's seat (RHD), so not sure what box you are referring to...

Strange, it’s a black rectangle box with part number 3C8 035 730 B. Which then I searched comes up with Bluetooth/ telephone interface?

Sounds as if it's been retro-fitted and whoever did it put it there rather than the OEM location.

If it's working you should be able to do a Bluetooth search on your phone and pick up "VW Phone" and pair with it. If it's coded correctly you should have a phone menu within the MFD and from there you can search for your phone and pair to it that way.

Although with a "B" suffix at the end of the part number it's quite an old module so might not support the latest protocols.

Thanks for your help, yes all works now, connects soon as I get in the car.

However when it does connect the radio sound goes off?? Guessing it’s something pretty simple?

Need help just bought a VW scirocco and apparently the bluetooth in my car doesn't support Samsung s9 what's best option to upgrade so its compatible so I can make and receive calls and play my music via bluetooth
