Model advice

Post by Python23 »

Hi everyone. I’ve been researching sciroccos now for well over 3 months as it’s time to change the fiesta for something a little meatier. I’m leaning towards the 2.0 tsi GT or R line around a 14 plate or newer. My question is, would anyone suggest the 1.4 tsi over the 2.0? And also, I’m not looking at getting one older than 4/5 years if I can. I don’t like the idea of buying a car any older. Does anyone disagree with this and advise going for one around a 10 plate if it’s been looked after? Do the older versions drive the same?

I picked up an 09 plate, 2.0 TSi with 45k on the clock a couple of years ago and have had no problems. The clutch is gonna need changing sooner than I would like but, otherwise, an awesome purchase. So much fun to drive and surprises most people when you give it some beans.

Cam chain tensioner as well on the 20 TSI engines, other than that they are very reliable
