Was fitted aftermarket at Awesome, was working fine last week as well and nothing has been done to the car inbetween.
I've never had a car with CC before, so don't even know where to begin to look.
Any ideas appreciated folks ......

Double check you've actually switched it on. Does the cruise symbol replace the odometer display when you switch it on?

Nope, nothing at all - I thought maybe it was a temporary glitch (I work in IT, turning it off and back on again usually works!) but it's been off for 2 days now and still not working.Cuprabob wrote:Double check you've actually switched it on. You need to scan it to see if any issues are apparent, however I would just take it back to Awesome for them to fix.

I've got a scanner, so will give that a go. I'm miles away from Awesome (was fitted before I bought the car) but have known Jim Cotton for 20 odd years so will ask him on facebook as well. Failing that, it's off to the local VAG specialists - was just wondering if it'd happened to anyone on here before. Thanks for the replies, though, at least I know now that it's not a common thing!

Re: Cruise control stopped working
Cruise uses both the clutch switch and brake switch and won't engage if there is a fault with either. However, if you had an issue with the clutch switch, I doubt the car will start unless it thinks it's depressed all the time. Also, I would have thought a faulty brake switch would give a warning. You could check your brake lights work OK and your car won't start without you pressing on the clutch to rule either out.
