I have a very limited knowledge of fitting head units to cars. But I'm wondering whether fitting an RNS510 to my Rocco, would be as easy as plug and play?

You might need some coding for the Sat Nav information to display on the MFD but other than that and the fitment of a GPS antenna, it's Plug & Play. Most people who retro-fit just located the GPS antenna above the unit under the dash.
