Windows Developed a mind of its own...

Post by Addymk2 »

Right folks... Bare with me. I've used the search and came up trumps.

This morning, the misses was in the car with me, she rolled the passenger window down, which is rarely used tbh she doesn't get in the car with me often.

Upon winding it up, it seemed stiff and very slow. I told her not to wind the window down again, so 5 minutes later. She wound the window down...

This is where the problems began. Some would say they began when I let her in the car but hey ho.

The windows developed a mind of its own. It winds half way up then instantly back down where it stays. I've ran some silicone lube around the rubbers to help it out to no avail.

The windows got a complete mind of its own.

I've tried the reset methods, holding buttons etc. But it's still not there. I've managed to get it all the way up by knocking the ignition on and off and sending it up an inch at a time.

I've got a feeling it could need a new motor/runner but any other thoughts/fixes are greatly appreciated. Cheers folks!
