Hi fellow scirocco drivers,
Is lately noticed a hold back in 2nd until 5th gear when reaching above 3000+rpm.
Seems like the turbo is not giving any power. Allthough it happens occasionaly. Sometimes it gives full power and sometimes half and sometimes a complete lack of turbo boost.
I'm reading a lot of horrible stories about the 122hp versions with turbo wastegate problems, in which a lot of people have to replace the whole turbo unit. Is the same problem occuring with the 160hp version?
My engine is been rebuild completely with 4 new pistons. Everything has been replaced in it's lifetime except for the turbo so hope this annoying issue is fixable. I do not have a lot of technical knowledge since I'm a beginning car enthusiast. So all the feedback and help is appreciated!
