How do I find out my wheel off set?!

Hi all,

Unfortunatly I been having some issues with one of my tyres/wheels. My left front tyre is been loosing pressure since day one (I bought a 2011 Scirocco 2.0GT 170hp 2 years ago) but because it was minimal I thought it was the tyre with some sort of puncture or so. So I bought a brand new set of tyres and the issue kept going. Every 2 months I was checking tyre pressure and I wsa loosing about 2/3psi (out of 35). Lately I am loosing about 5/6psi every 2/3weeks.

I took my car to 3 diferent tyre/wheels houses around my area and they didn't find any problem either with the tyre or the wheel... But the last house I've been mention that it could be a minimal crack/fissure on the wheel. I've asked how much would cost to repair it, and because they could not find the crack/fissure it could go up to £250 and over to get ir proper fixed. So I've decided to get some new set of wheels (have my eyes on this ones: http://www.wheelbasealloys.com/alloy-wh ... ed/18-inch" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) but they ask me for my whell off set measures witch I do not know how to get...

Does anyone have a clue witch one is it?!

Stock offset is ET 41 & width 8J
Lots of options for you depends on whether you get 18's or 19's if upgrading personally it has to be 19's
I have mine with ET 32, 8.5J all round, lower the offset number is from stock further out the wheels will be. Mine a pretty much flush TBH

I’ve been having the exact same problem recently but my front right tyre (2012 scirocco 2.0 tdi R-Line) same as yourself, been to 2 garages who say the can’t see any problems and have re-sealed the tyre and replaced the valve but The tyre pressure still keeps going down anywhere between 3-7 days depending on how much driving I do.

Did you go ahead and buy the new wheels or did you manage to find the source of the problem? To get a new set of wheels the exact same as my current ones I’m looking around £1200 *gulp* so hoping to find an alternative solution.

Currently waiting to hear back off a local alloy wheel specialist but can’t imagine that’s going to be cheap either!
