So driving back last night, i notice what appears to be a massive difference, in the Drivers side and passenger side light projection, I am running Osram Nightbreakers and they are relatively new. so cant be that but.
so on a dark road, I can see what appears to be an L shape in my light pattern, Passenger side being a good distance of projection the driver's side being about 1 car in front?
I am a relatively new owner have a fairly recent MOT so I'd be shocked if this was miss alignment, I have used the roller next to the steering wheel and it does make a different but still not enough?
is this a standard as I seem to remember something similar on my Mk4 Golf (However a fixing near the light on that was broken so it had a habit of going out of alignment.)
I assume there is an adjuster on the light, if so Which direction is up (Projection out) Assuming I'm standing facing the front of the car?

Maybe one bulb is not mounted correct what causes the weird pattern? Did you buy them at eBay, not Chinese i hope? And is the beam level at the same height left and right? You can adjust the height with a hex key.

Nah bought them from Euro car parts was the same before I replaced them, and was the reason I did replace them.
It's the drivers side which is way easier to replace than the passenger so I'd be surprised if it is wonky.
Plus only noticed it this weekend as driving on unlit A roads and on dual carriageway with gras verge it was hard to see the centre I know it's hex but do u know which direction is up and which is down ?

Ok then i think its the combination of roadtype and colourtemperature of the bulb.
I notice with the 4300k bulb that the darker road types are better visible then with the 5000/6000k bulbs.
The hex key is clockwise turning the beam up what i thought.

Ah hmmmmm then wouldn't both lights look the same? Being from the same pack of osram night breakers
If they are shoddy I'm in luck I work in the office next to osram haha

So, are you saying that the light pattern should be Uniform? and there should not be what appears to be a Darker spot in my projection?

Just try adjusting the hex key under the bonnet, will take about 2 minutes. Do it when it's dark or going dark against a wall
