Fitting sub+amp to RCD 510

Post by Willyjay212 »

Hey guys and girls
Soo I gotta company to come out to fit my subwoofer and build in amp there called hpc
And they couldn't do it he said something about twisted wiring (canvas wiring)? And something todo with the Cambus?
To be honest I'm really confused why he couldn't do it
Can anyone tell me what he means and then tell me how todo it? Because im just going todo it myself now
Cheers!

I agree about finding a new company
Halfords is yards....
Also what your saying I can still find a subwoofer with my stock radio?
The fella was saying if he done it, it would interfere with canbus and will probably make lights on onto dash
Eg make air bags not work or abs stuff like that
Soo I really don't know can you inlighten me?

Do some research , and look at the link Phil provided.
You can do it no problem. Many of us, myself included, have ran OEM head unit with sub.

I googled "fit sub vw scirocco"

First link.

You need a high / low adaptor. Pretty standard when connecting to OEM head units.
