Hi
I have had my Scirocco TSI 122 for a few months now, I purchased it with 24,500 miles on it and now up to 30,000. On cold start ups usually first thing in the morning and leaving work after the car has been sitting a while it revs in around 1,200 revs. If I pump my clutch it sometimes goes or if I leave it idle for a min or so it disappears. I'm not really sure if its meant to do this or is there a problem? The car is under warranty should it bring it back to the dealer to have it looked at?
Thanks!

It's perfectly normal for the idle to be slightly higher on cold start up under certain conditions.
For your information the idle can be increased if the battery voltage is low to facilitate charging and if the Secondary Air Injection is activated, if fitted.

Okay no problem, if I drive off sometimes when the revs are high the car runs kind of poorly sort of jumpy in 2nd gear but then runs fine. I will try and get a video of it next time.

Car will be cold, so it's not going to as smooth as it is when up to temp.
If you are concerned then have or scanned and see if any faults are logged.
I take it your on the younger side as if you drove cars 20 - 30 years ago you would know how rough a car could be when cold and the joys of the manual choke:-)
