Two problems

Post by TripsD »

Hi!

Scirocco 09 1.4 tsi.

I have park distance control in my car, is there any way to configure it NOT to lower the volume of the music? :?

and my tailgate? (in a lack of other words, tailgate was the best i could come up with) won't open when i press the button, or... it will open, but it locks itself straight away. when i press the button the tailgate opens just a few inches, just enough to get my fingers in, and then i have to press the button one more time.
if i'm standing behind the car and press the button i can open the tailgate the first time i press it, but then i have to be fast...

Can it just be the shock absorbers or is it a more advanced problem?

1. If it can be done it will be a setting in the headunit. I know you can adjust the volume of the beeps or mute them, so it might be possible to maintain the music volume.

2. Check the Bump Stops at the corner of each side of the tailgate. They are spring loaded and it's what pops the tailgate when you push the button. They are very cheap to replace.

Thanks!

I found the volume control under PDC volume! it worked!

I'm guessing you are referring to these:

As you can see, i'm missing one knob in the first pic, do you have a partnumber for it or know where i can buy it?

Again, Thank you so much!

You can buy them from your local VW dealer. I don't have the part number handy but the parts guy will know what you are talking about.
