Hey people
Quick question when I put the car in reverse and then press the gas there is a slight clunk when the car moves, is this normal?
Dsg clunk when reverse
Re: Dsg clunk when reverse
It happens to me too, may just be because its a sudden push of power towards the back end, I don't think it's anything to worry about
Re: Dsg clunk when reverse
Mine does a similar thing aswell. not a clunk as such. but when I put it in reverse, there is a minor delay then it jolts me backwards. I'm used to it now though.
Re: Dsg clunk when reverse
I noticed it did it a few times when I first pull away slowly, it's like it's something to do with the handbrake as its only when I first pull away or first reverse, weird

Re: Dsg clunk when reverse
Could be the brake pads moving slightly within the caliper, especially if it only happens when changing direction.
