Bluetooth fitting

Post by 2dabs »

Hi everyone

I've resently fitted a Bluetooth module (NW7) to my 2011 tdi 170 scirocco I have the RSN510 radio the module I purchased came with wire Harness with mic, my car already has a mic fitted up in the interia light section, which I assume is for the voice activation. My problem is sines fitting this module to my car I've lost voice activation from the steering wheel button (I only get Bluetooth voice control) also I get everything up on my display from music media off my phone but no sound, and it's funny because the phone works great. I've taken my car to vw and even they scratched their heads. I've put a couple of posts up here and no Luck I'm at my wits end as to trying to get this sorted so could someone please help me or just even point me in the right direction. Is there I code I needed to get for vag com programming? The guy who did my coding got the phone working and that's it really.

Kind regards

David

I would check your wiring, i'm sure you only need the one mic?

You wan't the wiring from your mic to go into the RNS510 (green pins) and then from the purple pins out to the Bluetooth module

Thanks for taking the time to help me out mate. The harness came with two connectors for the mic to go in. So do you think I should take it apart and reconnect it to the green in. I've checked and the new harness don't have any pins in the green connector.

Yeah that would explain why your bluetooth has access to the mic but not the RNS if its not passing through the radio.
