Airbag Removal

I have spent 2 hours this morning trying to remove my airbag. I have read lots of forums and watched multiple YouTube videos and I think that I understand what I am doing. BUT I have managed to unhook the wire loop from the hook but it doesn't pop out as it should. I have also pulled on the airbag section and even levered it, but with no joy. Any assistance will be gratefully received.

This post by UKLEE might help. It is to retrofit cruise but includes removing the airbag.

I've seen videos where it unclips and just pops off. I think they were just lucky, I had to release the clips, then try and wedge my fingers between the airbag and the top of the steering wheel. It took a lot of effort to take off but went back on easily.
