Scirocco vs A1

Post by Woodyparsons »

Help! My scirocco is coming up to 7 years old... Had 2nd coolant pump problems last week now sorted but worry what is going to go wrong next... Been to test drive an Audi A1 1.6 TDI today and really don't know what to do... Been offered a good price for mine. Someone talk me into or out of it lol

Sadly only you decide and do what's right for yourself. A1 is a fantastic little car, albeit a little overpriced in my opinion when compared to the Polo, Ibiza and Fabia, which are fundamentally the same car.

Misses has a 1.4TSI (160bhp) black edition which is very nice, interior is gorgeous. Personally though I think it's a girls car ;)

Thanks for feedback, don't think you can go wrong with any German car but so attached to my scirocco ... My head says trade in due to age but my heart says no - typical female lol

I see ;)

In that case it'd definitely be a good choice, the interior styling and tech is miles ahead of the Scirocco I think, that popup screen with DAB and Bluetooth as standard is very nice, and the heater controls are all well finished. Half leather seats are gorgeous too.

I don't really like the interior of the A1 looks very basic to me.
I would rather get a mercedes a class over A1.

Interior is poor on the A class, test drove one, all looks nice on the skin but the materials are cheap and the software on the media system is bad in comparison to its rivals. Check the reviews, most give it 2/5 stars[emoji14]

Worth looking at the new polo GTI. Need to add a few options but performs well :D

Toss a coin. If that doesn't give the desired result then go "best of 3, best of 5" etc until you get the right result☺
