This isn't a scirocco, nor is it VW....but it's a good example of the systemic arrogance and ignorance that plagues dealerships, particularly German manufacturers!
It's also why i hate anyone touching my car - the only place where someone else has my car is an MOT test station (and i don't like doing that).
I've had some bad experiences with services, tyre changer places and so called VW specialists - it's what got me into doing work on my car myself some years ago, fixing problems caused by previous muppets.
The old adage of 'if you want something done properly, do it yourself!' has never rung truer than with car maintenance.
Just sloppy work, by people who have become complacent in their job, not taking any pride in their work....attitude problems throughout the industry.
Dash cam's are now exposing what's happening behind the scenes in these places and this industry more than most needs to have that sword of Damocles hanging above peoples heads.
