Hi there
I have a 2.0 TDI scirocco, and since I bought it second hand back in June, I've had an issue with my air con. I don't have the fancy climate control, just the basic system.
Basically, when I put it on full blast to clear windscreen on a cold day, it blows out cold air, and it doesn't warm up at all. If I turn the switch to direct the air flow to my feet AND the windscreen, then it blows out boiling air, which - if I turn the temperature dial down even 1 notch (so still above 22 degrees), it goes freezing cold!
So - I can either have it freezing - or baking - there is no in between!
Any ideas as to what my problem is?!
Thanks in advance!

Re: Aircon Issues!
These cars do not have fantastic heating systems and my engine takes a while to reach operating temperature. I have the basic set up like yours. To get any heat into the cabin my temperature dial needs to be above half way but it can all be directed at the screen (and then the aircon comes on). If you cannot direct only to the screen then could be a faulty flap motor in the heating system?
