Got a 2010 scirocco with engine code cczb... Looks like my chain tensioner had gone .. Is this a new engine I'm found to need ? Any one else had problems ?

You have probably found out by now but the answer is probably yes a new engine unless you are very lucky. If the tensioner fails the timing goes out on start up the ECU tries to compensate and valves tend to hit pistons and make a bit of a mess of the head and bores. A rebuild is possible in some instances but depends on the level of damage.

Perfect excuse to kit it out with proper forged Pistons and rods and whack a whopping great big turbo on it! :hyper:
