Has anyone else been having problems with the GPS satellites recently ?
I only noticed it this morning when I was stuck in traffic I put the maps on and it said I was off road, then I thought it might just need switched off and back on again, but on the way home it was going mental telling me to turn left do a u-turn and turn right on the motorway, so I checked the satellite connection and it said there were 0/10 connected.
I'm hoping it's not a problem with my car, but if anyone else has the same problem I would know it's not my car.
I have an RNS510 and I live near Glasgow
Cheers,
Callum

Re: GPS problem
If you have a notification of 0 / 10 satellites then it'll be just you I'm afraid. It's seeing 10 satellites but not managing to lock on to them. Usually a new GPS aerial will fix it.

Yes indeed! This happened to me recently, it would drop out occasionally and then not lock onto satellites at all. The fix was a new 'shark fin' aerial. The cost of the new aerial was £52 + VAT, but did cost me another £72 to get it fitted as it involves obviously dropping the headlining.Viking wrote:If you have a notification of 0 / 10 satellites then it'll be just you I'm afraid. There are some cheaper alternatives where I think you can have a GPS aerial hidden in the confines of the glovebox but I was not keen on that idea.

Re: GPS problem
Or buy a GPS antenna and fit it above the RNS unit perhaps?
