Post by Ppatrickjames »

I've Installed LED headlights and LED sidelights and ever since then I have check light on the dash, the lights are in correctly but the warning light won't go off, can anyone shed any light? Image

Are your LEDs Canbus compatible. LEDs draw less current that filament bulbs hence why you get a bulb warning on the dash.

CanBus compatible ones have a resistor in parallel to increase the current so the warning doesn't come-on.

Another solution is using VCDS to de-activate the diagnostics for the lights.

I know that the small LED's are but not 100% on the headlights, they are apparently "Samsung" ingot them from eBay and they were quite a loose fit tbh. Once they were in the were solid but I'm not sure about the resistor, I'll just get some new ones and try them. I could always leave the warning light for now.
