Evening evening.
My Scirocco is on VW options and wanted to get an insight of what the deal is when it is time to either give it back and walk away, chop it in or balloon payment as it's coming up for that soon.

Obviously the balloon payment is simple, pay it and the cars yours
And the give it back and walk away also.

So what happens if you want to get another car with VW? What do they give you towards a new car or do they give you better deals?
As we all know you have to wait for a new car to be built if you spec it up so do they ring you say six months before you're contract is up so you can order another car so it arrives when it's time to give back the current car?

I could ring VW and ask this but would rather have a little info from here first.

Cheers

They'll want repeat business from you, so they might make an offer for your current car. The idea is for you to have a deposit towards your next car with them so it would work out like so... Actual car value minus guaranteed minimum value that they gave you at the start of your finance deal.

This depends though. Your car might not be worth more than the guaranteed minimum value and there's a chance (albeit a small one) that you it would be worth less than the guaranteed minimum value, leaving you with negative equity. At this point it would be best to just walk away.

The Scirocco holds it's value better than most other cars. VW will want to keep you with them so with about 6 months remaining they'll contact you with some sort of offer I would imagine.
