Hello all..
I am new to the forum so I apologize if this has been covered!!
I have a Scirocco 1.4 tsi 122. My car does not have Bluetooth installed but I want to get it so I can pair my android phone. I want to be able to call/ play music without needing an AUX. Can someone please tell me the best thing to do (Without being too technical haha) or the best things to buy.
Also, does the Scirocco come factory fitted with the microphone for phone calls?
All help appreciated.
Thanks
Dan

Re: Bluetooth
Hi, you can get a separate Bluetooth module to get the phone/ music streaming. A module with a2dp system is needed which works with most phones. I installed mine behind the head unit/climatronic.
The microphone you can get with the module as a complete set, I wired mine into the map lights where they are if factory fitted.
If you don't want the vw one you can get a fiscon unit (i think that's what they're called) which still works with the mfd.
You might also need someone with a vagcom to code it in for you

Re: Bluetooth
Thanks for the reply! Is the Fiscon unit pretty much the same? As long as my music and contacts on my phone can be synced with my car...
What would be a good price to pay for either the OE Bluetooth unit or the Fiscon unit? Also how easy to install is the mic?
Thanks

Is that worth the price and would it be compatible?
Thanks, Dan

Re: Bluetooth
Doesn't look bad for one with WiFi hotspot or whatever on it. Ones I've been looking at on eBay without WiFi are around £150 in this country. Or use the people mazzie got hers from

Re: Bluetooth
I bought mine, for around £140 and installed it myself within 2 hours. its not too hard, just take your time wiring the mic and you should be fine.
Heres the one I bought:

Re: Bluetooth
I have the rcd510 with phone button but no Bluetooth installed. Steering wheel hasn't got any functions, if I buy the Bluetooth kit (VW) does anyone know if I can actually use Bluetooth without the MF steering wheel? Any advice appreciated ...

Re: Bluetooth
If you bought the OEM BT module, you will be able to operate it using the headunit, which is obviously not as convenient as using the MFSW and MFD but it will still give you the functionality.
