Theoretical race

Post by Parsx »

Evening.

At my work we have a few car minded people and there have been some recent purchases and so the inevitable question of who is fastest has been raised. List is:

Mine: scirocco 2.0tsi (200) dsg, apr stage 1
Nissan 350z with cat back
New gtc vxr
Honda S2000 decatted, induction kit
Integra dc5 with cat back

Thoughts??

My money would be on the Astra vxr for performance through the gears

I reckon the vxr has it as well but the numbers are surprisingly close.

I would say,

1st) Nissan 350Z (Easily)
2nd) VXR (just)
3rd/4th Scirroco/Honda S2000 (very close)
5th) Integra DC5 (if it's an R then not by much)

I don't think your car would come last, with stage 1 if would probably have 250BHP (similar Torque) and I'm guessing it may be lighter than some of the cars.

I'm sure others will disagree with the above!

How old is the 350z - if like a fair lady 10 years old with decent miles on her she is unlikely to perform as well as a vxr new. These variables need to be looked at, I'm still sticking with vxr as they shift well through gears - scirocco and s2000 more than likely neck and neck but the s2000 is lighter and I imagine quicker off the line. The best way to really know would be go to a track and have at it!

350z is about 10 years old, bout 60k I think. That and being the heaviest won't help. The integra is a type r. I would be hoping to be beating the Hondas as they lack torque.
