Hi,
Has anyone found that even the comfort mode is a bit too hard for bad UK roads, particularly in town?
Does anyone know whether it is possible to configure the comfort mode (via VAGCOM or similar) to be even softer?
ACC comfort mode still too hard on bad roads?

what you need to bear in mind is you are running about in a car on 18" alloys with low profile tyres, it is a sports car too! As far as comfort goes the scirocco is superb, its is leaps and bounds ahead of other cars for its ride quality. No offence intended you either bought the wrong car or there is something wrong with your car, didnt you notice the ride when you went for a test drive?
Car is now Sold!!!!! BMW 7 Series for now as nice and big but holding out for something a little special as my toy

Don't get me wrong, I do know it's a sports car, but maybe I was just expecting too much from the ACC!
Generally I leave it in normal mode, but was hoping for a little more comfort from the comfort mode - the local roads are pretty badly maintained! (central london)

I do know what you mean about the roads! It does make you wonder why we bother paying road tax especially when we have fixed tax (safety) cameras in place too!jc74 wrote:Don't get me wrong, I do know it's a sports car, but maybe I was just expecting too much from the ACC!

Yes, I do have to agree here with CTRnutter, for a sports car the ride on the Scirocco is superb, when I compare the ride to my wifes Fiesta ST which is very harsh, I realise just how good the Scirocco ride actually is.

I find that the Scirocco's ride quality in comfort mode is on par with the 3 series I had before (also running on 18"), however those were run flat tyres! Not end of the world, also as other people have noticed - I've also noticed a fair amount of tyre and wind noise does make it into the cabin.
Still a great car though
, and was just wondering if the ACC could be further tweeked, that way I can have sport/normal for out of town, and a real comfort for around town.
Maybe I'll just report all the potholes and see how many get fixed...
(Though I noticed you can report them online btw through the various local gov websites.)
